Readers, Welcome

Readers, Welcome.

If you’re reading this, you have come across a very small  but special corner of the internet. Nova Crash is, at its core, a team of people here to help you succeed in the games you play. The kind of games we all care about, we’re passionate about, the ones we line up for a midnight release or watch better gamers play just so we have a deeper understanding.

But this isn’t about the core team. This is about you. This is about growing a budding community of a rare and ironic breed – the hard working gamer.  By being here you’re already on the same path so many others have joined. Below are some lessons we’ve developed in our short time coaching:

  • Play like a pro.

Being a professional starts with the mentality. Your team sucks? The other team has a better player/composition/[insert advantage here]? Leave it at the door. The professionals play in the best conditions, or the worst – And they consistently perform at a high level.

  • Believe in a holistic approach.

As an example, advice on aim mechanics (even we give) is great. It’ll help you improve! But by how much? Momentous change comes from seeing you as a whole package, not just what happens on the screen. By understanding what happens outside the game, we’re able to help those players seeking mastery to effect change within the game.

  • Lastly, Challenge everything.

Challenge the neighbor. Challenge your friends. Challenge what we say here. Because the only way you’ll progress is by ultimately challenging yourself. We regularly red team each other’s coaching to provide the best experience to our readers and our coached gamers. Through this process of challenging what we believe to be the way, we discover another. Sometimes it doesn’t work. Sometimes it really doesn’t work. But other times…we make a breakthrough that we couldn’t have discovered if we just accepted everything at face value. You can make these kind of breakthroughs as well. Just don’t be afraid to crack a few eggs to make the omelet.

If you can follow even a sliver of the lessons above, you’ll see an improvement. If you do, we hope that you’ll join us for more.

Welcome to Nova Crash.
